The AAAS maintains programs that work toward its mission of advancing science and innovation to benefit the world. One such program, “Entry Point!,” is designed for students who have disabilities and an interest in the science, development, and engineering research fields. Through the program, these students work with mentors who help them complete undergraduate coursework and plan their graduate-level educations.

The program also assists students in finding employment. Thanks to many partnerships of AAAS with government agencies and Fortune 500 companies, Entry Point! students are given the chance to participate in paid, 10- to 12-week internships to strengthen their skills.
